Dan G. Buck Perry Jr. of 1510 Sunset Ave Newberry died Saturday June 4 2011 at his residence Born on June 7 1967 in Ft. Pierce Florida he was the son of Margie McMurtury Perry and the late Dan G. Perry Sr. Mr. Perry was a retired truck driver with Carolina Concrete Company and especially enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting. He had been a Cub Scout and a Cub Scout leader. He was a member of Central Avenue Baptist Church in Whitmire where he served as lead singer Adult Sunday School teacher and Deacon. He is survived by his wife Tina L. Perry; his mother Margie McMurtury Perry of Whitmire; daughter Tina Renee Perry of Newberry; son Dan G. Perry III of Newberry; sisters Faye P. Brooks of Newberry Becky P. Brown of Columbia and Janet Perry of Whitmire. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Whitaker Funeral Home by Rev. Wako Cotney and Rev. Tony Dickert. Interment was in Rosemont Cemetery. The family did receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry. Active pallbearers were Tony McMurtury Brad Bright Kevin Brown Daniel Brown Martin Moates III and Greg Harmon. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Adult Sunday Class of Central Avenue Baptist Church. Memorials are suggested to the Building Fund Central Avenue Baptist Church PO Box 133 Whitmire SC 29178.
