Dana Marie
Brady Monts
December 30, 1955 – April 26, 2026
Dana Marie Brady Monts, 70, of Chapin, South Carolina, died at Lexington Medical Center on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
Born on December 30, 1955, in Bergen County, New Jersey, Dana was a daughter of the late Jack and Majorie Veltri Brady.
As a woman of deep faith, Dana has always prioritized being active in her church. She previously served as the church secretary for Advent Lutheran Church in Boca Raton, Florida, and as a member of the church council at New Hope Lutheran Church.
Dana was independent, compassionate, and a lover of life. She enjoyed planting flowers, tending to her yard, and had a profound love for animals, especially her dogs. Nothing brought her more joy in life than her family. She cherished any and every family function with her siblings and was immensely proud of all her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Kenneth “Ken” Calvin Monts, Dana is survived by her daughter, Erin Doty, and her children, Leah Doty, Matthew Doty, and Caleb Doty; daughter, Lisa Crawford, and her daughter, Bree Rodrigez; son, Joshua Monts (Taylor), and his children, Harper Monts, Tessa Monts, and Willow Monts; daughter, Kendra Monts Raines (Scott), and her children, Mackenzie Raines, Samantha Monts, Owen Raines, and Gabriel Raines; brother, John Brady (Valerie); sister, Lauren Sideris (George); and four nephews. She is also survived by her beloved K-9 companions, Luke, Layla, Betty, Cleo, and Mylo.
In addition to her parents, Dana is preceded in death by her grandson, Landon Monts; brother, Mark Brady; and K-9 companion, Molly.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at New Hope Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Steven Counts.
Following the service, the family will receive friends for a time of visitation in the fellowship hall.
