Daniel "Dan" Sease, 71, of Newberry, died Friday, April 15, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Sease was born on February 14, 1945 in Memphis, TN, the son of the late Elisha and Mary Tigrett Sease. Dan graduated from Lambuth University in Jackson, TN and was a self employed locksmith. He previously worked for the Newberry County EMT, the Newberry County Soil Conservation District and as a locksmith at CCI. Dan was very active in the Boy Scouts for many years and had served as an assistant scout master. He is survived by a step-sister, Ada Griffith (Lee) of Magnolia, TX; step-brothers, Charles Irons (Joye) of Newberry and William Irons, Sr. (Cynthia) of Cross Hill and a number of cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step-mother, Emma Julia Irons Sease. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Rosemont Cemetery with the Rev. Rodney Gunter officiating. Pallbearers will be Clyde Reeves, John Long, Nigel Irons, Parks Wells, William Irons, and Charles Irons.
