Mr. David M. Singley 93 died Wednesday September 10 2014 at The Magnolia in Clinton NC. The funeral will be held at 2 PM Friday September 12th at the First United Methodist Church 208 Sampson Street Clinton NC with the Reverend T. R. Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Maxton NC. Mr. Singley born 1921 in Newberry SC was the son of the late William E. Singley and Louise Morris Singley. He was a retired Sampson County School Superintendent and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his wife; Mary Ankers Singley; and four children Louisa Ann David Morris Jr. Michael Austin and Kevin Max Singley. He is survived by a daughter Deborah S. Lee and husband E. B. of Clinton; a son Richard E. Singley and wife Pam of Salemburg; two grandsons David James Singley and wife Nicole and Richard Alan and wife Ashley; granddaughter Kimberly B. Singley; great-granddaughter Eva Marie Singley; great-grandson Lucas Alan Singley; sister Ruth Ann Reese of Newberry SC; and a sister-in-law Doris R. Singley of Newberry SC. The family will receive friends from 7 PM 9PM Thursday September 11th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home.
