David R. Nichols 73 of 5664 Deadfall Road Silverstreet died Wednesday June 8 2005 at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood.Mr. Nichols was born on June 16 1931 in Hagerstown MD a son of the late Ernest H. and Eula Anson Nichols. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force having served in the Korean War. He retired from ISE of America Inc. and was a member of the Amity Masonic Lodge #87.Mr. Nichols was a member of Silverstreet Lutheran Church a former chairman of the congregational council and a teacher of the Elsie Nichols Sunday school class.Mr. Nichols is survived by his wife Ruth Hamm Nichols of the home; a daughter and son-in-law Susan and Jay Clements Jr. of Roswell GA and son and daughter-in-law Donnie and Judy Nichols of Gilbert; a brother Thomas H. Nichols of Dunwoody GA; and four grandchildren Amanda and Robin Nichols and Jamie and Rebecca Clements.Funeral services were conducted at Friday at 11: A. M. at the Silverstreet Lutheran Church by the Rev. Steve Jackson. Interment was in the church cemetery.Visitation was from 6:00 to 7:30 P. M.
