David Alan Sibert

David Alan Sibert was born on October 23, 1957, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Harry Glenn, Sr. and Annie Ruth Durden Sibert.

As a child, he moved to Orlando, Florida, where he grew up and eventually graduated from Evans High School.

David made his career doing paint and body work on cars and big trucks. He was very good at what he did and took great satisfaction in doing his work well. David was independent by nature and was known for doing things his own way. He had a strong personality and was never afraid to speak his mind. He liked to tease and pick at the people around him, often just to get a reaction, and he had a natural tendency to buck authority and do things his own way. These traits were all part of the personality that made David uniquely himself.

He never had children of his own, but family was still an important part of his life. David remained involved with his sister, Nancy’s, family and enjoyed the time he spent with them. Nancy, was especially important to him and cared for him throughout much of his life.

David enjoyed many things throughout his life. He looked forward to yearly trips to the mountains with his friends, and loved spending time boating on the lakes of Florida and South Carolina. When he was younger, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, and those outdoor interests remained a part of the memories he made over the years.

He will be remembered for his independent spirit, his teasing humor, his love of the outdoors, his work with cars and trucks, and the many memories he shared with his friends and family.

David leaves behind his sister, Nancy Jones; and his nieces, Kim Swieringa (John), and Allison Richter (Jimmie).

In addition to his parents, David was also preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Sibert.
