Deborah Ann Lasky, 68, of Irmo, South Carolina, passed away in loving company of her family on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

Born to Faye Coleman Mullinax, Deborah was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force from April 14, 1974, to April 1, 1987. Following her military career, Deborah Retired from Verizon Telecommunications (formerly MCI) after 32 years. Deborah shared many adventures with her family, including boating, trips to the mountains, staring at the stars next to a fire, swimming in the pond, and caring for our small family farm animals before moving back to Irmo, South Carolina in August of 2024 and settled back on Lake Murray. After moving to South Carolina her final trip included traveling with her mom and sister to Cherokee, NC.

Deborah is survived by her four children: Lori Hobbs, Christopher Hobbs, Mathew Lasky, Julie Loving and her Nine grandchildren: Ashlynn Hobbs, Natallie Mayberry, Ethan Lasky, Mason Casey, Drake Thames, Nicholas Thames, Colton Casey, Antonio Lasky, and Zachary Lasky.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Whitaker Funeral Home in Chapin, South Carolina, on Sunday, 23rd February 2025 at 3pm. There will be a gathering of friends and family one hour prior to the service.

Deborah's ashes will be scattered to rest at some of her favorite travel locations and some she's always wanted to visit. In her own words, "Cherish the time you have. Make every moment count. Tomorrow is undetermined. But no natter what, love with your whole heart."

She is now enjoying her sunsets with her Grandaddy, Jimmy and Dirk watching over us every day.  We love you, Ma! Keep us safe and continue to watch your grandchildren grow.
