Deborah Lapp McNew, 76, of Prosperity, died Monday, December 19, 2022 at White Oak Manor.

Born November 22, 1946 in Port Chester, New York. She was the daughter of the late Howard Edgar Lapp and Janice Marshall Lapp Wolf and step-daughter of Roger Wolf.

Deborah was a wonderful woman. After graduating from nursing school in Connecticut she began her career as a registered nurse where she worked for many years.

Deborah enjoyed the little things, crossword puzzles and knitting accompanied by a glass of Johnnie Walker Red Label scotch. She surrounded herself with images and statues of giraffes and southwestern art. However, her all-time favorite will always be the long adventurous motorcycle rides behind her loving husband, Mac on their Harley Davidson trike.

Deborah is survived by nieces, Amy Terlecki of Pennsylvania and Alexandra Hansen of South Carolina; nephews, Christopher Lapp of New York, Matthew Roy of Pennsylvania, and Tyler Wolf of Pennsylvania; brothers, Elliot Wolf of Pennsylvania and David Wolf of Pennsylvania; longtime friends, Sean and Christina Pomeroy of Newberry; and half siblings, Cindy Hicks and David Lapp of Pennsylvania.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Michael "Mac" McNew; sister, Robin Lapp Roy; and brother, James Lapp.

Services for Deborah McNew will be held at Fort Jackson Friday, January 20, 2023, at 2:00pm.
