Declan James Ruff passed peacefully in the arms of his loving parents, Nic and Laurie Ruff of Irmo, SC, on January 18, 2017. He was born at 11:45 PM on January 11, 2017, and went to his heavenly home at 2:45PM on January 18. He is also survived by his four siblings, Nate, Bryson, Lucy, and Everly, maternal grandparents, Linda Whitaker of Swansea and Roddy Whitaker of Cayce, and paternal grandmother, Erma Ruff of West Columbia. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Noah "Pops" Ruff. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 3050 Leaphart Rd., West Columbia, SC. A funeral service will be held at 3:45 pm on Saturday, January 21, at NewSpring Church, 657 Bush River Rd., Columbia, SC. Pastor Alden Ellis will conduct the service.
