Dolores W. "Dee" Britt formerly of 1406 Chapman Drive Newberry died Friday June 17 2005 at the J. F. Hawkins Healthcare Center.Mrs. Britt was born on April 1 1929 in Charleston WV a daughter of the late Harold D. and Alma K. Williamson. She was a member of Chapin Baptist Church an avid gardener and a volunteer for various Republican Party campaigns.Mrs. Britt is survived by her husband Dick Britt of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law Teala and Steve Armfield of Newberry and Tonya and Jerry O'Cain of Prosperity; two sons and daughters-in-law Terry and Marlene Britt of Little Mountain and Toby and Meg Britt of Anderson; two brothers Butch Williamson of Savannah GA and Don Williamson of St. Louis MO; eight grandchildren and spouses Michelle and Tim Tisdale of Newberry Ashley and James Loging of Greenville Brad Armfield of Lexington Stuart and Hope Britt of Lexington Blake Britt of Little Mountain T. J. Britt of Charleston Amanda and Jason Strickland of Lexington and Tanner O'Cain of Prosperity; four great-grandchildren Justin and Kelsey Tisdale and Bryce and Bailee Loging. She was predeceased by a sister Mary W. Gandy.A graveside funeral service were conducted at 11: 00 A. M. Monday at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Phillip Vaughn.Visitation was from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. Sunday at the Whitaker Funeral Home.
