Donald Arthur "Doula" Humphries completed his earthly journey on January 8, 2019, after a long struggle with declining health. Donnie was born in Newberry, SC, on December 4, 1951, to the late Grady and Catherine Leopard Humphries. During his 67 years, Donnie graduated from Newberry High School and retired after a long career with the Maintenance Department of the South Carolina Highway Department in Newberry County. He enjoyed softball and golfing in his younger years, was a lifelong avid hunter and fisherman, and a friend with all who met him. Donnie "Doula" attended Cross Point Church in Prosperity and personally experienced the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Donnie is survived by his brother, David G. Humphries and wife Judy of Laurens, SC; his sister Karen Humphries Bailey of Denton, TX; nephews Andy Humphries and wife Holly, Christopher Humphries and wife Christina, Daniel Humphries and wife Darcie, and Brandon Bundrick and wife Katie; niece Laura K. Bundrick; other relatives and friends.
