Donald Livingston Longshore, Jr, 62 of Newberry, died Sunday, July 29, 2018 at his residence after a long battle with cancer. Born on May 11, 1956 in Clinton, SC, he was the son of Donald and Sara Frances Copeland Longshore. Donnie graduated from Newberry High School and Piedmont Tech. He was a member of New Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by his parents of the home, Donald and Sara Longshore, a brother Thomas Mike (Theresa) Longshore, a sister Julie (Joe) Lake, 5 nieces and nephews & 13 great nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his sister and best friend, Roxanne Longshore Donnie was a devoted son, brother and uncle. He was especially devoted to his great nieces and nephews, whom he thought of as his own grandchildren. He had two beloved dogs Rock and Dot whom were always by his side. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 31st at New Chapel United Methodist Church, 133 New Chapel Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108. Interment will be in the church cemetery with visitation following in the church social hall.
