Donna Faye Cantrell, 63, of Newberry died Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on May 19, 1960 in Easley, SC she was the daughter of the late, Harold and Dorothy O'Shields Freeman.

Donna had challenges in her life, but in and through them all she remained kind hearted, always willing to give what she could to those who needed it. She loved to laugh even at the smallest of jokes, and her laughter would fill the house. Donna also loved to sing, and despite not being very good at singing, she never missed the opportunity to belt out tunes by Johnny Cash.

Her family has treasured memories of baking cookies and trips to the jockey lot and of all things Elvis Pressley. Most importantly, she loved Jesus our Lord and Saviour, and re remained faithful until the end.

She relied on her family as a support system to help at times, and in turn, she shared her loving energy, her big heart, and her infectious laugh with each of them. She loved and was loved dearly by her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Long (Will) and Mandy Barriger, all of Newberry and her grandchildren, Hunter and Faith Long.
