Donnie R. Beck, 74, of Newberry, South Carolina, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Newberry Memorial Hospital.

Born on December 30, 1949, in Charleston, South Carolina, he was the son of his late mother, Bessie Beck.

Donnie was a member of College Street Church. He was also a member of the Newberry Shrine Club, Hejaz Shine Temple and was a Mason at Amity Lodge #87. He was a successful commercial grade painter for many years, while owning his own business. Donnie was known to be a giving person who always was willing to help others and impacted the lives he touched. Donnie's favorite pastimes were spending time with his family, raising miniature horses and show cows, which he won many ribbons for.

Donnie is survived by his daughter, Christa B. Sutton; step-son, Craig Temples; and Frances Epting, who he raised like a son. He is also survived by a special friend, Wanda Shealy and a host of other family members which includes his church family.

In addition to his mother, Donnie is predeceased by his wife, Mary T. Beck.

A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Newberry Shrine Club, 196 Shrine Club Rd, Newberry, SC, 29108.
