Doris Hawkins Bedenbaugh, 87, of Clinton, died Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Langston Place. Born July 30, 1929 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Nancy Hawkins. She was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Prosperity. Mrs. Bedenbaugh is survived by several nieces and nephews including Bridget Tunstall of Greenwood, Mary Jo Pierce and Donald "Donnie" DeVore both of Kinards, and Dean Stribble of Newberry; and numerous cats and dogs. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Joseph "Joe" F. Bedenbaugh; brother, Herman Eugene Hawkins; and sister, Eula Mae Stribble. Graveside services will be conducted at Newberry Memorial Gardens on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM by Rev. Mitchell Wray. The family suggest memorials be made to the Newberry County Animal Shelter, 240 Public Works Drive, Newberry, SC 29108.
