Doris Cook Boozer 87 widow of Edwin L. Boozer died Wednesday October 16 2013 at White Oak Manor. Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday October 19 2013 in Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church by the Rev. Floyd Sides and the Rev. James Shealy. Burial did follow in the church cemetery. Visitation was on Thursday October 17 2013 from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry. Mrs. Boozer was born on February 19 1926 in Newberry County the daughter of the late James D. and Reba Cook. She retired from Newberry Mills and was a member of Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughter Debra Morris (Wayne) of Prosperity; son James Jimmy E. Boozer (Margaret) of Prosperity; seven grandchildren Chris Bennett Chad Morris Carla Willingham Becky Forbis Andy Morris Cheri Boozer and Allison Boozer; and fourteen great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Mrs. Boozer was predeceased by daughter and son-in-law Gloria and Tommy Bennett; son Stanley Boozer; and grandson Darren Boozer. Pallbearers were grandchildren.
