Doris Gene Sheeley Wiggers 95 widow of Bernard Edward Wiggers formerly of Pomaria died on Good Friday April 3 2015 at Veterans Victory House in Walterboro SC. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday April 5th at Pomaria Lutheran Church with burial in Pomaria Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 PM Sunday prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall at Pomaria Lutheran Church. Mrs. Wiggers was the daughter of the late Pauline Susan Lever Sheeley and Ernest Sligh Sheeley of Pomaria SC. She was a member of Pomaria Lutheran Church the Adult Sunday School Class and the WELCA. A World War II veteran Mrs. Wiggers enlisted in the WAC in 1942 and served under Commander Eisenhower in the European Theater Operation of Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Forces. She was discharged in 1945 with the rank of Sergeant. She worked for General Electric and Phillips Components in Irmo and retired in 1984. Mrs. Wiggers is survived by her sons; Dr. Michael Edward Wiggers Sr. and his wife Chris of Taylors SC Daniel Sheeley Wiggers and his wife Jackie of Kernersville NC and Dr. Ernie Paul Wiggers and his wife Hope of Beaufort SC; grandchildren Jason Ryan Wiggers and his partner Scott Noblett of Greensboro NC Monaca Leigh Harrelson of Charleston SC Michael Edward Wiggers Jr. and his wife Laura of Greenville SC Jennifer Edens Wiggers of Simpsonville SC Sloane Ellen Wiggers and Bryan Bernard Wiggers of Clemson/Beaufort SC; and great-grandson Thomas Allen Vinson of Greenville SC. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by brothers: Johnny Ray Sheeley Clarence Hugh Sheeley Ernest Wightman Bub Sheeley and Horace Lever Sheeley. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Pomaria Lutheran Church Adult Sunday School Class the Church Council and members of the Pomaria High School Class of 1936.
