Dorothy "Dot" Sterling Senn, 88, of Newberry, died Friday, April 13, 2018 at White Oak Manor. Born on December 12, 1929 in Newberry, she was a daughter the late Charles F. and Vera Boozer Sterling. She was married to the late Larry Senn for 63 years. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church where she attended the Ruth Sunday School Class. She enjoyed attending 50 plus at church and was always happy to help with VBS and children's programs at the church. One of her enjoyments was spending time in her yard working with her flowers. She was a caring wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her brothers and sisters. Mrs. Senn is survived by her children Wayne Senn (Jean) of Newberry and Marcia Godwin (Ed) of Ballentine; grandchildren, Blake Senn (Brianna), Ashley Holman (Brendan), and Allison Mircea (Christopher); great-grandchildren, Max Senn, Blaine Senn, Autumn Senn, Lilly Holman, Evelyn Holman, Tinsley Mircea, and Ophelia Mircea; brothers. J. T. Sterling (Florence) of Seneca and Boyce Sterling (Libby) of Texas; a step-grandson and his family, Luke and Alexa Godwin and their daughter, Hadley; and special friends and neighbors, Jenny Jones and Harriett Nichols. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Everette Sterling, Elizabeth Mauney and Charles Sterling. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 17, from 1:30 until 2:30 pm at First Baptist Church in Newbery. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm, Tuesday at First Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Albert Allen. Interment will be in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
