Dorothy Hadden Rogers 84 of 2033 Shull Avenue Gilbert died Wednesday June 1 2011 at White Oak Manor. Mrs. Rogers was born April 24 1927 in Duncan South Carolina a daughter of the late James Russell and Mary Jackson Hadden. Dorothy was a former employee of Allied Chemical and was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church in Gilbert. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Luther Rogers; sons Larry Rogers of Gilbert Mike (Sheryl) Rogers of Prosperity David (Judy) Rogers of Laurens and Greg (Peggy) Davis of Pinopolis; step-daughter Katrina Walker of Houston TX; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Ricky Rogers; granddaughter Jeannie Rogers; brother Curtis and sister Miriam. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 PM Saturday at Beulah United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bob Dunn. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home Newberry.
