E.L. Shealy Jr. 82 of 2061 Smith Road Apt. C-3 Newberry died July 30 2003 at his residence.Mr. Shealy was born on July 20 1921 in Lexington County a son of the late E. Lester Shealy Sr. and Vesta Morse Shealy. Mr. Shealy was retired from Newberry Mills and also retired from Newberry County Detention Center. He was a member of Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church.Mr. Shealy is survived by his wife Dorothy Reaves Shealy of the home three daughters and two sons-in-laws Pat and Donald Shealy of Prosperity Vivian L. Shealy of Newberry and Jackie S. and Tommy Bowers of Newberry two sisters Mildred S. Bouknight of Newberry and Eva Mae S. Mims of Hueytown AL two brothers Robert H. Shealy of Prosperity and Andrew Shealy of Newberry; a sister-in-law Bernice C. Shealy of Newberry; five grandchildren and spouses Craig and Jennifer Bedenbaugh of Greenville Pamela J. Bowers of Conyers GA Brian and Amanda Shealy Bridget Shealy and Michael Shealy all of Prosperity; four great-grandchildren Gracelyn and Sara Shealy of Prosperity and Jackson and Cannon Bedenbaugh of Greenville. He was predeceased by a brother Wilbur S. Shealy.Funeral services for E. L. Shealy Jr. will be conducted at 3:00 P. M. Saturday at Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church by the Rev. Floyd Sides. Interment will be in Newberry Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. Friday at the Whitaker Funeral Home.
