Earl W. Crapps 88 of 3439 Indian Creek Road Kinards widower of Ruth Robinson Crapps died Thursday September 22 2005 at his residence.Mr. Crapps was born in Gilbert a son of the late John J. and Mattie Clamp Crapps. He was an Army veteran of WW II serving as a medic and a retired employee of Greenwood Mills Joanna Plant.Mr. Crapps was a Bishop in the Non-Denominational Church in Kinards. He was an avid gardener and accomplished woodworker and carver.He was a loving husband father grandfather and great grandfather and he is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law Sharon C. Batson of Wilmington NC Brenda and John Nickerson of Yonges Island and Mary Ann Sulik of Kinards; a daughter-in-law Sue Crapps of West Columbia; four sisters Myrtle Baughman of Graniteville Alice Hunnicutt of Kinards Naomi Wicker of Newberry and Lucy Hall of Aiken; four brothers Felton Crapps Tilman Crapps and Tallie Crapps all of Kinards and Harry Crapps of Leesville; 11 grandchildren Lorenda Batson Jeffery Batson Deborah Batson Duane Price Caroline Sandlin Bonnie Copes Brianna Schraw Brittany Humphries Wendy Gilliard Carli Sulik and Rex Sulik; and 10 great grandchildren Joshua Batson Sarah Batson Jamie Hayes Zachary Price Jaidon Schraw Kyleigh Schraw Kayla Sulik Alexia Gilliard Bryson Gilliard and Allorah Sulik. He was predeceased by a son Don Crapps a son-in-law Vernon Batson a sister Maggie Robinson and a brother Milas Crapps Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the Whitaker Funeral Home by Clinton Goff Al Goff and Robert Johnson.
