Eleanor Wier Clarkson Paysinger 94 formerly of 1623 Clarkson Ave wife of the late Strother Daniel (Bozo) Paysinger died Sunday April 5 2009 in Wilmington NC. Mrs. Paysinger was born October 3 1914 to the late Samuel Lawrence and Carrie Lee Buford Wier. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Newberry and the Kyra Sunday School Class; a long time member of the Calvin Crozier Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy where she held the office of corresponding secretary for many years. She was also a former member of the Board of Trustees for the Rosemont Cemetery Association. She was a loving and caring mother who is survived by a daughter Barbara Clarkson Smith of Wilmington NC; a sister Carolyn Hollis of Clinton SC; a step-son Alan Johnstone Paysinger of Newberry SC; and three step-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services were conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Harmon.
