Elinor Holsapple Elliott, 75, of Chapin, died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at The Village of Summerville.
Born on February 19, 1941 in Whipple, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lake and Ruth Holsapple.
Elinor worked many years at Fort Jackson Hospital. She loved animals, especially her two cats, and in her spare time she enjoyed reading books. Elinor was known by many as a very independent person and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by a son, David Elliott (Barbara) of West Columbia; grandchildren, Brad Elliott (Stephanie) of Lexington and Chrissy Elliott of Cayce; daughter-in-law, Ann Elliott of FL; sister-in-law, Dorothy Holsapple of OR; and cousins of the Keeney Family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carlton Elliott; sons, Russell Elliott and Carl Wayne Elliott; brother, David Holsapple; and close friend Sonny Bundrick.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Whitaker Funeral Home, Chapin.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Celestial Memorial Gardens, West Columbia, by the Rev. Jody Flowers.
