Elizabeth "Libby" Ford Lipscomb, 69, of Prosperity, died Monday, October 10, 2022 at Orangeburg Medical Center.

Born on January 10, 1953 in Detroit, MI, she was a daughter of the late Roy Lee and Evie Estelle Tucker Ford.

Libby worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Heritage at Lowman, White Rock, SC.

She was a simple woman who was proud of her independence and all she was able to accomplish. Libby had a lifelong faith through which she found the strength to care for others during their time of need. Working as a caregiver brought her much joy throughout her life.

Libby is survived by her son, Robert Lipscomb (Lisa) of Simpsonville, SC; and sisters, Sharon Morris of St. Matthews, SC, Brenda Thompson (Tony) of Early Branch, SC, and Bettie Hightower (Earl) of Gaston, SC.

In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by an infant son, Larry Stevens, Jr.; daughter, Tracy Lipscomb; and a brother, Lawrence Ford.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Newberry Memorial Gardens.
