Elizabeth Louise Steele Gilmore, 95, formerly of Lexington, died Sunday, May 30, 2021.
Born on June 23, 1925 in Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Lerah Vaughan Butler.
Elizabeth was a member of the Eastern Star, loved sewing, and had a spirited personality. She was married to the late Robert Douglas Gilmore. They enjoyed riding motorcycles together.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Alan) North and Mickey (Carey) Roof; grandchildren, Michael Budd, Alexandra Crum, Meredith Copeland, Kim Ward and Oliver Jackson Marston; 5 great-grandchildren; and step-sons, Ned Frownfelter and Terry Frownfelter.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her children, Michael Douglas Gilmore and Bonnie Faye Cromer; and her brother, William Malcolm Butler.
Funeral services will be held at a future date.
