Elizabeth Warren Holsonback, 82, of Newberry, died Monday, March 6, 2017 at White Oak Manor. Born on February 18, 1935 in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Nathan "Nath" Burton Warren, Sr. and Henrietta Gibson Warren. When her health permitted, Mrs. Holsonback was a very active member of First Baptist Church and in Sunday School. She was a former member of Newberry Order of the Eastern Star #226, Shrinettes, and the Newberry High School Band Booster Club. Mrs. Holsonback enjoyed playing the piano and vacationing in the mountains. She loved her family dearly and is survived by her husband of 64 years, G. Frank Holsonback; her children, Warren Holsonback (Debbie) of Prosperity, Mike Holsonback (Connie) of Newberry, and Amelia H. Beck (Ronnie) of Saluda; grandchildren, Brad Beck, Kelly B. Perry (Wayne), Nathan Beck (Olivia), Britley Beck, Justin Holsonback, Kelli Whitsitt (Brian), Brian Beck, and Leanne B. Roberts (Cade); seventeen great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Ray Holsonback (Ann) of Cayce. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Brooke Holsonback and a brother, N. B. Warren, Jr. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at Whitaker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 9 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Newberry conducted by the Rev. Dr. Albert Allen and the Rev. Dr. Ken Harmon.
