Ella Mae Noffz Senn 91 of Silverstreet widow of Walter William Senn died Thursday May 7 2015 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday May 9 2015 at Smyrna Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Scott Hill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 PM Friday at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry. Memorials are suggested to Smyrna Presbyterian Church 32 Smyrna Road Newberry SC 29108. Born on July 11 1923 in Cross Hill SC she was a daughter of the late William Gus and Mattie Mae C. Noffz. Mrs. Senn was a homemaker and a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church where she was active in Sunday School her circle and the church youth group. She loved working with all of her flowers but particularly in her rose garden. Her green thumb was so good that she probably could have gotten a rock to root. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Patricia S. and Creighton Jones of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren Amber Leonard of Bristol TN and Lara Jones of Myrtle Beach; great-grandchildren Maddie Poston Joel Poston and Kinley Leonard; and brothers Charles and Wesley Noffz both of Cross Hill and Robert Noffz of Mountville. Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by a daughter Kay Senn Long and sisters Sarah Sears Mildred Senn Helen Mulliken and Margie McBurnett; and brothers Otis and James Noffz. Her family is very appreciative of the excellent care and service that she received from everyone connected with the Newberry County Memorial Hospital during her time there. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Smyrna Presbyterian Church and the honorary pallbearers will be the Elders of Smyrna Presbyterian Church.
