Ellen Van Erkelens Rokusek of Chapin, SC, 55 years of age, died on Thursday, January 30, 2020. Born on August 3, 1964, in Ellecom, Netherlands, she was a daughter of Chris Kok Van Erkelens and the late Rudolf Frits Van Erkelens. She was a graduate of Irmo High School and Midlands Technical College. In 1992, she married Quent Rokusek. Ellen was a pillar of strength and a ray of sunshine for everyone that knew her. Her fiery locks of hair were only trumped by her magnetic personality and compassion for others. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Quentin "Quent" Rokusek; mother Chris Van Erkelens of Chapin; son, Devin Quentin Rokusek of Chapin; siblings, Rudy Van Erkelens of Atlanta, GA and Kiki Van Erkelens of Irmo; and her beloved dogs, Kyaus and D' Artagnan. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 8 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church,195 Amick's Ferry Road, Chapin, SC 29036.
