Ernest Clarence Kibler Sr. 82 of Newberry died Sunday November 1 2015 at White Oak Manor. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday November 4 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. Eddie Miller. Interment will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Whitaker Funeral Home on Wednesday prior to the service from 12 noon until 2:00 pm. He was born on June 19 1933 in Newberry the oldest child of the late Johnnie Clarence and Mary Varie Gibson Kibler. Mr. Kibler retired from American Fiber & Finishing and the 246th Army National Guard band as a SFC. He had also worked part time with Whitaker Funeral Home. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church the Leisure Club and the church choir. Clarence was an avid Atlanta Braves and Carolina Gamecock fan. He enjoyed starting his day by having breakfast with the Breakfast Group. And he particularly enjoyed helping others. He is survived by his children Adair Kibler Jones of Newberry Wanda Kibler Bouknight (Benji) of Prosperity and Ernest C. Kibler Jr (Cyndi) of Arlington VA; grandchildren Brandi Jones (Zack) Pitts Brian Jones (Chelsea) Dustin Jones; Chelsea Bouknight Cody Bouknight Rhianna Kibler and Miranda Kibler; brother Del Kibler (Linda of Newberry); and a host of special nieces nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by his parents his wife of 30 years Sue Corley Kibler; son-in-law Keith Jones; siblings Mary K. Patterson Bobby Kibler and Kitty Milsaps.
