Ernestine Fuller 87 of Newberry died Friday April 25 2014 at the J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home. Funeral services were conducted at 4:30 PM Sunday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Stanley Fuller and Rev. Jimmy Counts. Interment was in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation was from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. Saturday at Whitaker Funeral Home Newberry. Born on Aug. 5 1926 in Batesburg she was the daughter of the late Joe B. and Allie Enlow Miller. Mrs. Fuller was a former member of Hunt Memorial Baptist Church and attended Lewis Methodist Church. She retired from the Kendall Company Oakland Plant. After her retirement she worked as a house parent at Whitten Center for a number of years. Mrs. Fuller loved her family and enjoyed making a wonderful home for them. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Harold E. Fuller; daughter Ruby Jean (Joe) Miller of Newberry; son Rev. Stanley C. (Joyce Wells) Fuller of Donalds SC; grandchildren Wendy (David) Donahue Carrie Burton James (Amanda) Point Allie (Mickey) Compton and Aminee (Domonique) Cockfield; 7 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews including a special nephew Arthur Laverne Miller who was raised in the home.
