Eugene C. Gene Counts 64 of Newberry died Saturday March 7 2015 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Thursday at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. James Shealy. Memorials may be made to Whitaker Funeral Home 1704 College St. Newberry SC 29108. He was born on Dec. 19 1950 in Newberry a son of the late James C. and Virginia Livingston Counts. He was a member of Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church. Gene is survived by a number of cousins and a devoted friend Betty Way.
