Fay Harmon Knight 86 of 100 Finley Road Columbia widow of John A. "Jack" Knight to whom she was married for 47 years died Tuesday at her residence.She was born on September 22 1921 in Pomaria a daughter of the late John M. and Edna Koon Harmon. She graduated from Columbia Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She was a WW II veteran serving in the U.S. Army Army Nurses Corps. She served as a nurse at Fort Benning Ga. and Fort Bragg NC. Following her military career she continued her nursing with the Veteran's Administration for the remainder of her career. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Columbia and was an associate member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Pomaria. Mrs. Knight is survived by two nieces Mary Ann H. Slaton of Spartanburg and Martha H. Blackmon of Charlotte and a circle of extended family. She was predeceased by a brother John Virgil Harmon. The family would like to thank Judy L. Graham a cousin for her special care of Fay over these last years.Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at St. Matthews Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dr. Herman R. Yoos and Rev.
