Faye C. Greene, 82 of Courtland, Virginia passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Faye was the daughter of the late Albert H. and Virginia Carter, and a native of Ruther Glen, Virginia. Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years John Greene, whom she loved dearly, creating a legacy of devotion to and for their family.

A caretaker by nature, Faye always put others first – her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren whom she adored, sneaking them a cookie from the cookie drawer every chance she could. As a home family care provider, she gave her life to the service of her family. Nothing pleased her more than to see you well fed and comfortable. While private by nature, when she befriended you, you were a friend for life. She will always be remembered for her unconditional love and passion for her family.

Faye is survived by her children Darlene (Tommy) Jones, John "Butch" Greene Jr, Melissa (Rob) Overstreet; grandchildren, Krystle (Clint), Brittany (Ryan), Becky (Adam), Jessie (Chase), Chelsea (Navarone), Hannah (Gavin), Austin (Mackenzie); great grandchildren Cayson and Maisie; siblings, Steve, Elaine, Jimmy, Virginia, and Danny. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Greene, and her siblings, Albert, Phyllis, Michael and Brenda.

The family expresses their deepest appreciation to Faye's "Earth Angel" and caretaker, Lesvia Gamez.

Life celebration services will be held at Black Creek Baptist Church in Franklin, Virginia on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00 am.
