Frances Teseniar Reed, 89, of Greenwood died Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Magnolia Manor-Greenwood.

Born on November 8, 1933 in Gastonia, NC, she was a daughter of the late Adam L. and Ida Lowery Teseniar.

She was a member of College Street Church and worked for many years at Main Street Pharmacy (later Rexall Drugs) in Newberry.

Frances had a kind, Christian, giving heart and it shone in all aspects of her life. She loved her customers, her pets, especially the chihuahuas, and her grandchildren. She was a great mom, getting Tommy started in the "right direction" in life. She was also a faithful and loving wife and believed that she and late husband Hilland, were matched together forever.

She is survived by her son, Hilland T. "Tommy" Reed, Jr. (Sherry) of Ninety Six; grandchildren, Vicky Abney (Jason), Valerie Wright (Andy), and Jessica Brown; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Teseniar of Newberry.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Hilland Thomas Reed, Sr.; sisters, Alice Frier and Edith Burton; brothers, J. H. Teseniar, Eugene Teseniar, C.M. Teseniar, C.J. Teseniar, and Earl Norman.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Jeff Barlow on Friday, March 24, 2023, 2:00 PM at Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Whitaker Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Robert Adams, Corbin Wright, Andy Wright, Tim Teseniar, Jeff Teseniar, Kelly Teseniar, and Jason Abney.

Memorials are suggested to the National Alzheimers Association.
