Frances Boozer Stutts, 89, of Columbia, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland. Mrs. Stutts was born on August 6, 1926 in Newberry, a daughter of the late Joseph Lee and Rhoda Ruff Boozer. She was a retired employee of C & S Bank. Mrs. Stutts was a member of Saint Andrews Baptist Church, where she was very active as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and watching sports, in particular her Clemson Tigers. She also enjoyed doing her arts and crafts. She is survived by her brothers-in-law, Barry Stutts (Cathy), of Columbia, Lewis Stutts (Delilah) of Seneca and Art Jacob of Georgia; sisters-in-law, Helen Corley (Bobby) of Melbourne FL, Louise Berry (Wingard) and Jane Armstrong (Wendel) both of Fountain Inn; and Onie Boozer of Newberry; and a number of nieces and nephews, especially Angela Lagroon and Brandon Stutts, whom she thought of as her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Robert T. "Bob" Stutts and siblings, Marzelle Mills, Sibyl Jacob, J. L. Boozer and Elsie Strauss. Graveside funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday in Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Dr. Ronald D. Vaughan.
