Frances Wise Lester 87 formerly of 1625 Clarkson Ave. Newberry and widow of Fred V. Lester died Thursday September 26 2013 at Palmetto Richland Health of Columbia. Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday September 29 at Whitaker Funeral Home Newberry. Funeral services was conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday September 30 2013 at Summer Memorial Lutheran Church by the Rev. Stephen Mims. Entombment did follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. She was born December 29 1925 a daughter of the late Jacob C. Jake Wise and Ruby Livingston Wise. She was retired from BellSouth and was a member of Summer Memorial Lutheran Church. She is survived by two sisters Dot Bedenbaugh and Marie Cronk both of Newberry and a brother Richard E. Wise of Marietta GA. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother Jacob C. Jake Wise Jr. Pallbearers will be Terry Dominick Errol Staub Kevin Staub Michael Mills Johnathon Sease and Justin Rhinehart.
