Obituary

Frank Buren Waldrep 97 husband of Sarah Frances Terry of 1557 Halfacre Road and formerly of Farley Avenue in Laurens passed away Monday April 5 2010 at Hospice House of Laurens County. Mr. Waldrep was born in Lanford Station he was a son of the late Charles Lafayette and Lilly Johnson Waldrep. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II. Frank graduated from Presbyterian College where he excelled in all sports. He coached at PC and Laurens High School before going into business with his brothers at Carolina Milling Co. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Laurens before moving to Newberry where he joined Central United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters Sarah Gaye Norris of Greenwood and Lillian Hoeschen and husband Jerry of Newberry; four grandchildren Beth Davis and husband Darrin of Greenwood Neal Maddox Jr. of Chappells Angie Lawson and husband Derek of Camden and Terri Reppart and husband Chris of Newberry; and five great-grandchildren Garrett Lawson Bailey Davis Lindsey Waldrop and Madison and Peyton Reppart. He was predeceased by three brothers Yates Charlie and Ralph Waldrep; two sisters Polly Curry and Margaret Pearman; and a son-in-law Robert Darrell Norris. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Wednesday April 7 2010 at Laurens City Cemetery conducted by Rev. Karen Radcliff and Rev. Bill Rogers. The family were at the home of her daughter Lillian Hoeschen 1557 Halfacre Rd. Newberry. Visitation was in the fellowship hall at First United Methodist Church immediately following the graveside service on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Laurens County P.O.
