Frederick H. "Fred" Lieb, 94 years of age, died Friday, October 30, 2020 at his residence in Chapin.
Born in Uniontown, PA, he was a son of the late Troy P. and Myrtle Ravenscroff Lieb.
Fred was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. Some of his service years also involved serving as a Military Police Officer at the Nuremberg Trials. On September 28, 2017, Frederick H. Lieb was presented the Bronze Star at a ceremony in Chapin, SC.
He graduated from the University of Pittsburg with a degree in chemical engineering. Following his graduation, Fred began working for the Chrysler Corp as a future materials specialist, a career that spanned over 39 years.
Fred was a hardworking man but also a man who enjoyed his work. Following retirement and possessing a fondness for his work, he began his own consulting company.
Fred equally appreciated living life one day at a time.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Jennifer Lieb; his sons, Larry Lieb (Barb) and Tom Lieb all of Lake Orion MI, Jim Lieb of Navaho Dam, NM, and Bob Lieb of Midvale, UT; and grandchildren, Jennifer Lieb and Steven Lieb.
Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 5, 2020 in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
