G. Frank Holsonback, 89, of Newberry, widower of Elizabeth "Lib" Warren Holsonback, died Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the White Oak Manor. Born October 22, 1932, in Joanna, he was the son of the late John Marvin and Gussie Dominick Holsonback. Mr. Holsonback was the owner and operator of Quality Contactors. He was an active member of First Baptist Church, Newberry where he served as a youth director. He was a member of Amity Masonic Lodge #87 AFM, Newberry York Rite Bodies and Hejaz Shrine Temple, where he took children to the Cincinnati Shrine Burn Center. Mr. Holsonback was a former President of the Newberry Blue Brigade Band Boosters, a former Volunteer Fireman with the Friendly Fire Department, Station #1, and the Newberry Exchange Club. He is survived by a daughter Amelia (Ronnie) Beck; sons, Warren (Debbie) Holsonback of Prosperity and Mike (Connie) Holsonback of Newberry; grandchildren, Brad Beck, Kelly B. (Wayne) Perry, Nathan (Olivia) Beck, Britley (Marissa) Beck, Justin Holsonback, Kelli (Brian) Whitsitt, Brian (Erin) Beck, and Leanne B. (Cade) Roberts; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Ann Holsonback. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brooke Holsonback, twin infant brothers Ralph and Robert Holsonback, brother Ray Holsonback. Cryptside funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 2 PM at Newberry Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Albert Allen, with military honors and Masonic Rite. Active pallbearers will be Grandsons and Honorary Pallbearers will be Great-Grandchildren.
