G. Paul Parker 72 of Prosperity died Tuesday June 15 2010 at his residence. Mr. Parker was born in Plant City Fl. on June 29 1937 a son of the late Grady O. and Johnnie Bell Chancy Parker. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was a former Police Officer Police Chief and Mayor of New Ellenton SC. Mr. Parker is survived by his wife Margaret R. Parker; daughters Cheryl Mumm of Tampa Fl. and Theresa Cook of Dade City Fl; a son David P. Parker of New Ellenton; a sister Rebecca Sanchenz of Land-O-Lakes Fl.; seven grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a sister Alma Faye Peavy. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday June 19 2010 at Bethel Baptist Church by Rev. Rob White. Interment will be in the church cemetery Visitation will be at Bethel Baptist Church from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to the service.The family suggest memorials be made to Bethel Baptist Church 2503 Bethel Church Rd.
