George Foster Senn 95 formerly of the Belfast Road Newberry died Friday January 9 2015 at White Oak Manor. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Carter and the Rev. Hugh Bickley officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry on Sunday from 4:30 until 6:30 PM. Mr. Senn was born on July 10 1919 in Silverstreet a son of the late J. Foster and Elizabeth McMillan Senn. He graduated from Bush River High School and attended Clemson College following his military service. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the European Theatre. He was a retired farmer and agribusinessman. He was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he served on many boards and committees and received the Christian Lifetime Service Award. Mr. Senn was married to the late Cornelia Harris Senn for 45 years. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth S. and John Lusby of Clinton; sons and daughter-in-law Foster and Sharon Senn and Wilson Senn all of Newberry; four grandchildren Emily H. Senn McCallum S. Senn Caroline L. Senn of Newberry and Anna B. Lusby of Clinton; brother Billy Senn of Newberry; and sisters Dolly S. York of Rock Hill and Sue S. White of Murfreesboro TN. He was predeceased by his brothers Charlie Senn Jesse Senn Frank Senn Sr. and Angus Senn; and sisters Lena S. Webb and Judy S. Schell. Active Pallbearers will be Chad Senn Danny Senn David Senn Grady Senn Henry Senn Mark Senn and Scott Senn.
