Gloria Rose Pitts Brehmer, 82, widow of Henry Fellers Brehmer, Sr., died peacefully on May 18, 2022 at Springfield Place in Newberry, SC.
Gloria was born in the Trinity community of Newberry to the late Hugh Forest and Helen Williams Pitts. She was the last surviving member of her family.
Gloria graduated from Bush River School and married her high school sweetheart, Henry Fellers Brehmer, Sr. They celebrated 42 years together until his death on October 7, 2002.
Gloria enjoyed the simple country life. She took great pride in caring for her beautiful flowers and abundant gardens. Most of all, she loved her family. Her boys and their families were her pride and joy. She enjoyed cooking for all of them. Her face lit up with the most beautiful smile as she reminisced of family gatherings. Gloria was a retired rural letter carrier with the US Postal Service with 28 years of service. She enjoyed serving the people of her route. She often talked of those she saw daily.
Gloria was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Throughout her life serving her Lord, she was a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Voices of Trinity Choir and a member of the Trinity Women's Circle.
Gloria is survived by her three sons and their wives, Henry and Jeannie, Mike and Karen, and Steve and Beverly. She has eight grandchildren, Ashley, Kevin (Lindsay), Neal (Kaylee), Lance (Kaitlyn), Tori (Ben), Marylee, Luke and Chesley. She has eleven great-grandchildren, Addison, Makayla, Mia Kate, Linley, Briar, James, Garrett, Clark, Jed, Henley and Blaine.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1160 Trinity Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108. The family will receive friends after the service.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kevin, Neal, Lance, Luke, and Chesley Brehmer, Ben Baird, and her nephews, Harmon and Karl Brehmer.

The family would like to give special thanks to Barbara Rogers, Jane Pollard and Joan Morris for the loving care provided to Gloria while she was home. They would also like to thank all of her caregivers at Springfield Place, Dr. Mike Bernardo, and Hospice of Laurens. The family will forever be grateful for the compassionate care each one provided to her.
