G. John Houghton 76 of Woodstock Ontario died Tuesday November 4 2008 in Newberry South Carolina. Mr. Houghton was born January 26 1932 in Solihull Great Britain son of the late William Percival Houghton and Doris Irene (nee) Watson Houghton. Mr. Houghton was a Royal Air Force veteran and was an avid RVer and a member of the Good Sam Club.He is survived by his wife Joan Houghton of Ohio; daughters and sons-in-law Elaine and Bryan Preece of Canada and Janet and Dave Evenview of England; a step-daughter Patricia Czmil of Ohio; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Funeral services were conducted at 6:00 P.M. Friday at Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel by Rabbi Dani'el Rendelman.
