Gyanell Faling, 84, of Newberry, died January 24, 2023.

Born November 4, 1938, in Nashville she was a daughter of Albert and Theresa Augustine. She was married to her former husband, John Faling for many years.

She moved to the area from Venice, FL to be closer to her son.

A graduate of St. Cecilia Catholic High School in Nashville, she was a person of strong faith and stayed active at her church in Venice. She worked for many years at the Whitten Center in Clinton before becoming a homemaker. Her family was one of her greatest treasures and gave her the most enjoyment in life.

She is survived by her son Michael Williams, several step children, numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Augustine, and her sister Thelma Bodecker.
