Hannah Christine Bender, 98, of White Rock, SC, died on May 22, 2019 at the Lowman Home in White Rock. Mrs. Bender was formerly of Johnstown, PA and Windber, PA where for 30 years she had lived at Quemahoning Towers. Born January 12, 1921 in Johnstown, she was a daughter of Blair Hildebrand and Effie (Havener) Hildebrand-Riddinger. She was preceded in death by parents, step father Carl Riddinger, husband Robert E. Bender, daughter Pamella Felix, sister Sara Smith and brother Blair. Mrs. Bender is survived by her children, Sandra Guyer of Bedford, PA and David of Pasadena, MD; 8 grandchildren including Renea Craig of Irmo, SC; 9 great grandchildren and a brother Warren Riddinger of NC. She was the oldest member of Moxham Church of the Brethren and also a member of Axillaries for the church, the Geistown Vol. Fire Hall, and Cambria County Farm Women Society. Hannah went on many mission trips to Africa and Haiti, taking her last trip when she was in her eighties. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, May 31. 2019 at Henderson Funeral Home, East Hills, 2503 Bedford St., Johnstown, PA. Interment will be at Headrick Union Cemetery in East Taylor, PA, where she was a former board member. At 2:00 PM On June 15, a Memorial service will be held at the home of her grand-daughter Renea Craig, 202 Montclair Rd. Irmo SC 29063, performed by the Rev. Dale Weldon.
