Harold J. Robison 87 of 113 Old Forge Rd Chapin died Wednesday January 23 2013 at Lexington Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Andrew J. Vollkommer at 1:00 PM Monday January 28 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Interment with military honors did follow at Bush River Memorial Gardens. Visitation was from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapin. Born on June 8 1925 in Columbia SC he was a son of the late Johnny J. and Aletha Dennis Robison. Mr. Robison was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II a Navy veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Founder and owner of Robison Upholstery he enjoyed his membership in the Jamil Shrine Temple and the Earlewood Lodge #371 where he served as Past Master. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Maria Alfieri Robison of the residence; children Denise R. (Harold) Hair of Chapin Rob (Amy) Robison Jr. and Ken H. (Kim) Robison Sr. all of Columbia; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his siblings Robert Robison and Wilma R. McGill. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Kidney Association 11921 Rockville Pike Suite 300 Rockville MD 20852.
