Harry W. Shealy Jr. 74 formerly of Lindsay Circle Newberry died Sunday May 4 2003 at the J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home. Mr. Shealy was born on January 12 1929 in Newberry County a son of the late Harry W. Shealy Sr. and Trannie Pitts Shealy. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee of Champion International Co. and a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church. Mr. Shealy is survived by a daughter Patricia Wallin of Matthews NC; three step-daughters Becky Brown of Newberry Debra Taylor of Prosperity and Barbara Brown of Clinton; two sons Tony Shealy of Poplar Bluff MO and Ken Shealy of Hendersonville NC; two sisters Florence Addison and Margaret Lipscomb both of Newberry; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Betty Smith Shealy and a sister Virginia Senn. Funeral services for Harry W. Shealy Jr. will be conducted at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday at Smyrna Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Scott Hill. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:30 P. M. Tuesday at the Whitaker Funeral Home.
