Heber Laurence Metts Jr. 82 of Charleston SC entered into eternal rest Friday May 1 2015. His funeral service will be held at the graveside Tuesday May 5 2015 in Capers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Chapin SC at 2:00 p.m. Laurence was born July 19 1932 in Chapin SC son of the late Heber Laurence Metts Sr. and the late Geneva Lindler Metts. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and held a Masters Degree in Library Science. Laurence was retired from the Charleston County School District.
