Helen Davis Darby 96 formerly of 1197 Chapman Street Newberry widow of William J. "Bill" Darby died Monday December 8 2003 at the J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home. Mrs. Darby was born on October 9 1907 in Newberry a daughter of the late Issac S. and Jessie Miller Davis. She retired from Baker-Buddin Insurance Agency and also worked at Newberry Memorial Gardens. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. Mrs. Darby is survived by a son Mike Darby of Newberry a sister and brother-in-law Atlee D. and John B. Lindsay Sr. of Newberry. She was predeceased by a sister Clara D. Ridout; and four brothers Aubrey I. Davis Pearce C. Davis J. R. "Bill" Davis and Jackson B. Davis. Memorial graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday at the Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Steven Counts and the Rev. Floyd Sides. Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer P. O.
