Helen Elizabeth Boinest Suber 97, of Pomaria died on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

Born in Jollystreet on May 27, 1927, she was a daughter of the late William Bowman Boinest, Jr. and Mary "Mamie" Livingston Boinest.

Helen was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and participated in WELCA for as long as she was able. She was so proud of her Boinest heritage and her church, and her great-grandfather who was a minister at Bethlehem. She was a homemaker, loved to grow flowers and work in the yard. She had a lot of love to share to anyone who visited.

She loved her nieces and nephews as her own being their second mother. One of her favorite sayings was "I didn't borne you, but you are mine" and then she would give them a big hug.

She was pre-deceased by her husband of 75 years, Willie Jacob Suber, Jr., brother, William Deleal Boinest, his wife Carleen, and sister Mary Jean Boinest. She was pre-deceased by in-laws and their spouses, Ethel and Thomas Smith, Tommie and Katie Suber, Cornelia and Pat Long, Elizabeth and Harvey Berley, Mathilde and Mark Smith, Marie and Dan Sandel. She was also pre-deceased by nieces and nephew, Elaine Story, Frances Abrams and Warren Sandel.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Sandra Higingbottom, Diane Yarborough, Russell Suber, Ellen Blackstone, Rita Boozer, Alice Boozer, Nancy Carswell, Linda Livingston, Dale Smith, Vernon Smith and Steve Sandel.

Funeral services will be conducted at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM by Pastor Arden Hallman. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Suber, Erik Lewis, Dan Graham, Bill Lominick, Andy Lominick, and Jay Harley.

The family suggests memorials be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 209 New Hope Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.
